In this book series, Prof. Dr. Ali Arslan’s travels in 42 countries on 4 continents and the sociological observations and comments he made during these trips are described. The first 15 books describe the trips to Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar, which were held consecutively in 2 months in 2018. In the following books, his observations and comments in America, England, Germany, France, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Czechia, Bulgaria, Greece and other countries where he had previously visited on various occasions were discussed.

The Saudi Arabia book is the first book in the series.He was born in Adapazarı in 1959. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Adapazarı. He completed his undergraduate education at Marmara University and his master’s and doctorate degrees at Boğaziçi University. He worked at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-IRCICA/www.ircica.org/tr), an international organization, between 1983-1989. Between 1993 and 1999, he worked as a faculty member at Sakarya University, Department of Applied Sociology. Between 1999 and 2009, he founded his own company ARGEDA (Research Center for Development Training and Consultancy ) (www.argeda.com.tr) and worked as a Management Consultant and General Manager. He worked as a management consultant for various periods in large-scale public and private sector organizations, gave seminars, and conducted numerous public opinion and market research at home and abroad. In 2009, he returned to the Department of Sociology, where he had taken a break. In the 2011-2012 academic year, he taught as a visiting professor at the Department of International Relations at Portland State University, USA. He currently works as a lecturer at Sakarya University, Department of Sociology. Arslan, who speaks fluent English, Arabic and intermediate German, is married and has three children.
